Description: The playground was dedicated to the memory of Candace Lee Williams, an NSCS member from Northeastern University, who died in the attacks of Sept. 11. The Northwest Family Branch is the sixth addition to the YMCA of Austin. The new playground and recreational area now supports day camps, youth sports, parent/child events and other various activities. Children from several neighboring schools come to this branch for recreation and swimming instruction, making it one of the busiest locations with hundreds of children utilizing the new playground.
