VOICES is a nonpartisan organization led by founding director and clinical social worker, Mary Fetchet, whose son, Brad, 24, perished in the World Trade Center attacks. Founded in 2001 as a clearinghouse for information and annual commemorative events for 9/11 families, survivors, rescue and recovery workers affected by the 9/11 attacks, VOICES now serves more than 10,000 members with offices in New Canaan, CT and New Brunswick, New Jersey.

VOICES experienced staff provide information, outreach and programs on the many aspects of post-9/11 life, with a particular focus on helping 9/11 families, survivors, rescue and recovery workers and others affected by fostering resiliency through family-based mental health programs.
In September, 2006 VOICES launched the 9/11 Living Memorial Project, a digital archive commemorating the lives of the nearly 3,000 lost at the Pentagon, Shanksville, PA and the World Trade Center site and documenting the first hand accounts of rescue workers and survivors.
VOICES professional staff has conducted hundreds of workshops throughout the United States and met one-on-one with over 800 families to create a meaningful tribute to their loved ones.
The 9/11 Living Memorial Project has grown to an extensive collection of over 30,000 photographs, written materials and personal keepsakes shared by those impacted that tell a meaningful story that will preserve the stories of 9/11 for future generations.

In November 2009, we traveled to London to meet with the UK 9/11 families, building bridges internationally. The images will be a core component of the exhibits at the National September 11th Memorial Museum at Ground Zero, the Library of Congress and other institutions.

VOICES has made important contributions to public policy by advocating for the establishment of the independent, bipartisan 9/11 Commission and passage of the Collins-Lieberman Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention act of 2004 and the H.R. 1: Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 in addition. In addition, VOICES continues to promote public policy to promote improved local and national preparedness and government reforms to improve homeland security.
Ms. Fetchet is also a sought after speaker for forums and summits related to homeland security and 9/11 family issues.
