Our Voices: Message from the Director
Once again, Voices of September 11th is proud to be marching with the Wounded Warrior Project in the upcoming Veterans Day Parade in New York City on Tuesday, November 11th! As you know, following the attacks on 9/11 many of these brave individuals joined the military to help make us all safer. It is quite an honor to march in unison in this special event.
Join Us for a Special Evening on Wednesday, November 5, 2015 at Guastavino's in New York, NY. Norah O'Donnell will moderate a compelling conversation with Governor Tom Kean and Senator Joseph Lieberman about their work on the 9/11 Commission, and the recent publication of "Reflections on the Tenth Anniversary of the 9/11 Commission Report."
As we come together tomorrow to remember those we lost, we also remember those who survived - the families of the victims who have become like an extended family to us, the responders who worked tirelessly in the recovery effort, and those who survived. 9/11 impacted us all, and our lives are intertwined by a tragic event that reshaped our families and our country.
I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the last days of summer! Our staff has been busy finalizing plans for our 13th Annual Day of Remembrance Information Forum. The theme of this year's conference is "Promoting Resilience, Healing Families and Communities," and we are excited to share the schedule with you today. As you'll see, we've planned a program that provides information for everyone- 9/11 families, responders, survivors and service providers.
As the September 11th Anniversary is quickly approaching, we want to update you on several important items. At the top of the list, be sure to mark your calendars for the VOICES 13th Annual Day of Remembrance Information Forum to be held on September 10th from 8am to 5pm. The event will be held at the Marriott Hotel, located at 85 West Street, just adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial Museum in NYC.
